Tips

Once your vehicle has been refinished by High Tech, you will want to keep it looking great.

Wash your vehicle regularly using specially manufactured car cleaning solutions, as other products may result in damaging a car's finish.

If your car is exposed to corrosive materials, like salt, sand and industrial fallout, it should be washed often. None of these elements should remain on your car’s finish longer than 24 hours. Frequent washing is essential to the life of your car’s chrome and painted surfaces. In seasons or climates less conducive to corrosion, a wash every week or so is adequate, depending whether your vehicle is kept in a garage or outside.

Rust is the oxidation of untreated metal surfaces when they are in contact with the elements. Moisture is the main cause of rust. Since dirt attracts and traps moisture, a dirty car is often the instigator of vehicle rust, especially in those hidden areas behind the chrome and trim.

Another rust control practice is to have your vehicle oil sprayed annually. The advantages are that most sprays will actually lift moisture and creep into the inner metal seams and crevices for complete rust protection.
